Hello to everyone in the South-Central region! I will be taking over for Dianne Cousins for the remainder of her term which I believe is about 1 1/2 years. Due to personal circumstances and reasons, Dianne is not able to finish her term on the Board and is no longer growing flowers. Dianne, thank you so much for all you did for ASCFG and the South-Central region and I can speak for everyone that we wish you only the best in what the future holds for you. I know you’ll be successful in your new directions and you will be missed. Our fine President, Bob Wollam, asked if I would finish Diannes’ term and I am happy to. So… to all of you South-Central members, let me know what is on your mind concerning ASCFG, the new Research Foundation or flower growing in general. This is your organization, become involved. If you don’t know how to become involved or know what to do, just let me know and will help.
A special thanks to all who attended the Regional Meeting here in Stillwater in August. I do hope everyone had a good time and learned at least something they could take home with them. We were very blessed with perfect weather, cloudy and cool with a breeze in the morning and much warmer in the afternoon while we were inside with the air conditioning. If anyone in the region has something special they would like to do or see for next year’s meeting, just let me know and I’ll start working on it. If you’d like to help with the Research Auction this year in Orlando, let Betsy Hitt or me know. It will be a lot of fun as always and the more involved, the merrier! See you in Orlando!
