Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas

Summer greetings to you all! Well, as it turns out my wish for our Regional Meeting came true, thanks to the generosity of Vicki Stamback. She has been working very hard to put together a first-rate program for us and it sounds like it’s going to be great! You should have received a registration flyer for “A Day of Innovation and Sharing”, by the time you read this. Don’t wait too long to register. We will be meeting at Vicki’s Bear Creek Farm in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 7. We will begin at 8:00 am with a tour of the farm.

This is one farm tour you don’t want to miss. I visited in January and was thoroughly impressed. I came home with lots of ways I needed to spend money that I don’t have!! She has really got her system down and is extremely organized. You will be able to see her bed shaper that she had made and she will demonstrate shaping with it. She will also demonstrate her planting methods, where her speed will amaze and astound you. Then the afternoon will be spent at the OSU Arboretum in Stillwater.

We will hear about a program that a friend of Vicki’s has worked up that can schedule your crops. We will also have a growers’ forum and hear a talk on biostimulants. Of course, there will be lots of networking in between! This promises to be a very valuable Regional Meeting. Hope to see you there!
